Cast iron, rolled steel, buttons, 2007, about 10" high

The cast iron breasts came from an old H.W. Carters & Sons (as in overalls) factory in Lebanon, NH (courtesy of AVA, The Alliance for the Visual Arts). They are spool-holders for thread. The buttons on the front are old metal buttons that may have been on clothing made by Carters -- or other factories making clothing for working people. This is my favorite Bra piece; it's very sexy.
