Music of the Spheres
Installed at Studio Place Arts, Barre, VT, March 14 - April 15, 2006
Mixed Media, each module 36x36 inches, 2005-6

Music of the Spheres is composed of buttons and painted vinyl records, cd's, and computer hard drives, affixed to a galvanized steel grid, held 2.5 inches off the wall. Shadows are cast on the wall behind. David K. Rogers, reviewing this exhibit in the Hardwick Gazette, said the pieces form "a kind of theme and variations (as in music).... The work is entirely abstract but the circle has multiple asociations here: the shape of moons, planets and stars, the beautiful rings of Saturn ... the Buddhist wheel of rebirth or the roulette wheel of chance, the repetitive cycles of nature, the molecules and atomic particles of the microcosmos, and so forth."
